og forums discussion masterpost

Post by skittlesthehusky »

i'm creating this thread to give an opportunity for people to discuss or air out their grievances with the original forums for the game.

between the unfair bans, posts getting nuked or locked, and the lack of care for the general userbase, i think it's right to allow refugees or standard users to voice their opinions in a safe space.

this masterpost is still subject to the forum rules, so be respectful and follow the guidelines. thank you.

also: if a bhvr employee ever reads this thread, use this as effective feedback. thank you x2

Oh, where do I even begin.
Ever since the whole fog vials, and subsequent streetwise incident, the forums has really gone down the drain.
Known mods quitting, only to be replaced with one who only swings the banhammer the way he sees fit.
Banning vital members that has been literal foundations since the forum's early days.
My friendly post about iconic members getting locked down.
And all the ragebait posting from new users. Yeah, the original forum is in a real sad state.

it genuinely feels like that they're trying to remove any incentive to participate in the forums so they have an excuse to kill them off. it's a shame, because the forums was the backbone of the community for many years before they started taking advantage of other social medias.

i feel bad for the people who were incredibly passionate about them. BHVR gives zero fucks about its users and it's very clear where their passion lies. i guess this is what happens when you corporatize your services and staffing. it's so bad that you can have egotistical employees as moderators.

sounds like reddit!

BHVR will always follow the money. They are like a mini-Activision at this point.
Corporate greed has clouded them bad

what's so sad is that this tends to happen to most companies. you go from being a small group of people with a vision to a soulless machine. nepotism also finds its way into things, which is why i also feel like some of the mods get protected against mistreatment of users.

*ahem* balrog.

And remember when they were asking for new mods? If only some of us had applied to be mods. I wouldn't have had time to do it though...

honestly it makes me wonder if they're even going to do anything with the applications. it feels like something they just silently cancelled bc they never mentioned it again.

given that it also seems like the mod team is shrinking, who knows if there's gonna be any more staff in general lmao

posting the mandy ghost screenie to test image uploads to forum posts btw
